This piece was at ‘Drawing On Therapy: Therapists Who Draw’ at A-side B-side Gallery in Hackney Downs Studios, from 17th – 20th June 2016. This exhibition was an independent group exhibition by graduating Art Therapists from the University of Hertfordshire. I was the curator of this exhibition.
Accompanying my work was the following text:
“I find myself showing different aspects of my personality varying on the client I am with and how they are presenting in the session. Being with a client in this way feels genuine, natural and more valuable for the client. This installation represents my experiences of feeling more maternal and childish, and the relationship between the two. These are two particular roles I have become more comfortable with through my work as an Art Therapist.”
